Traveling Light

Summer is travel season, and anyone who has gone on a road trip knows the temptation to overpack. We pack "just in case," and before long the vehicle is overloaded, leaving barely any room to enjoy the ride. Many Christians are doing the same thing spiritually. They're carrying burdens God never intended them to carry. Hebrews 12:1–2 says, "...let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us..." God never intended you to carry what Christ died to remove. He wants to lighten your load, give you rest, and help you walk in the freedom He has provided.
