Sustaining Hope
Life is filled with ups and downs, blessings and battles. As Christians, it can feel effortless to sense God’s presence when things are going well and life is good. But when life becomes difficult and uncertain, it can feel almost impossible to sense His presence, and in those seasons, we can begin to feel abandoned. Regardless of how we feel or what we sense, it doesn’t change the truth of Hebrews 13:5: “…I will never leave you nor forsake you.” That truth is where we find sustaining hope—a hope that carries us through the uncertain seasons of life.
As Christians, we often determine whether God is with us based on our circumstances. If things are good, God must be with us; if things are bad, we wonder where God is. But Hebrews 13:5 reminds us that God’s presence isn’t determined by our circumstances. He is always with us. So no matter what season you’re walking through, stand strong. God is with you, and Hope Is Here.
